"I have known Glen Murray for 26 years, first as Winnipeg's dynamic and enterprising city councillor, and later, as the city's most forward-thinking, progressive, and openly gay mayor. I have worked with Glen on many projects and he is without parallel the finest municipal and provincial politician in recent history. In addition to spearheading the Pan-American Games and C5 Summit, Glen worked closely with Aboriginal communities, focused on affordable housing, and was pivotal in making Winnipeg a worldwide destination with the foundation of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. He was instrumental in helping my partners and I save the Fort Garry Hotel, a treasured national landmark. If it was not for Glen, Winnipeg would not have Waterfront Drive, the pedestrian bridge, a downtown arena, or the return of our much-beloved Winnipeg Jets. Glen led the charge in the development of three highly prized urban destination areas, including the Plaza Skate Park, Central Park, and the Variety Accessible playground. Simply put, Glen is one of a kind. He can seamlessly cross between being an astute politician and a business leader, an enterprising entrepreneur and a non-profit pioneer. Glen is charismatic, persuasive, inspiring, and most of all he will be brilliant on the national stage as the best possible leader of the Green Party."

"I support Glen Murray for leader of the Green Party of Canada. I support Glen because of his extensive experience in government, his passion and skill in protecting our environment, and his vision in making quality of life for all a key policy focus. I have known Glen since we worked together at Canadians for Equal Marriage in the early 2000s. Glen has always been deeply committed to equality and to making a positive difference. Glen is someone who can bring people together and lead them towards a better world. He has been doing this for many years, both in and out of politics. As a long-time Green Party supporter and former Executive Director, I am thrilled at the prospect of what Glen can do for the Party, for our country and for the planet."

"If you've ever watched the PEI Legislature, you know how positive, inspiring and hopeful Government can be when there are lots of Green voices. We want real, urgent action to address climate change, a guaranteed livable income, and reconciliation between Canadians and Indigenous peoples. That progress requires more Greens in the House of Commons. It will not happen without us. Glen Murray can help us reach our potential, and he can lead our Party to our next level of electoral success. If you want more Green MPs, please join me in making Glen Murray your first choice for Leader of the Green Party of Canada."

"In Glen, Greens have someone who really knows what he is in for. He has already done the impossible, sat in the hot, won the hearts of voters, and media see him as credible. I've chosen to support Glen Murray from among a group of amazing people seeking to lead Green Party of Canada. The polices and platform are arrived at collectively so any leader we chose will be promoting them. So I based my decisions on other factors.

For many years I have been a campaigner. I've learned the hard lessons of inspiring and speaking on behalf of an organization.

I've toiled in four national campaigns fighting to get the Green message out. I know how hard it is and how much harder it will be with a new leader.

I also know how challenging the role is and the toll it takes on a personal level.

In Glen, Greens have someone who really knows what he is in for. He has already done the impossible, sat in the hot, won the hearts of voters, and media see him as credible.

More importantly I've sat across from him environmentalist and minister. I saw the honesty in his eyes."

"Glen focuses on getting things done with manageable solutions. Less partisan rhetoric. More saying what you mean and doing it. I like to consider myself to be politically autonomous, focusing mainly on the issues that matter to me and the people that I represent. Glen does exactly that! His vast knowledge of government, his welcoming demeanor, his exceptional record of community service, and his thorough poverty prevention platform all make him the leader that we need right now. His strength of character, mixed with his energy and commitment to issues like Universal Basic Income, affordable housing, environmental sustainability, and coherent progressive values were enough for me to jump in with both feet. I believe his platform is the most comprehensive, and that he is the right leader at the right time to navigate the murky waters of a fractured minority Parliament. Glen focuses on getting things done with manageable solutions. Less partisan rhetoric. More saying what you mean and doing it."

"I have worked with Glen, first as mayor of Winnipeg and active in the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, and then as the Ontario Minister of Climate Change. Over the years, we have become friends and co-collaborators in Canadian and global efforts to solve the climate crisis while advancing quality of life and social justice and human rights. Glen knows how to win elections and to manage large government economic and environmental portfolios. Glen is the right person to lead the Green Party of Canada into the next election and beyond."

"I am proud to endorse Glen for the leadership of the Green Party of Canada. While there are many fantastic candidates running in this race, Glen stands out in every way. Glen has fought on behalf of social issues for decades, has enacted more Green Policy than any standing Canadian Green and has the political experience to lead the Federal Greens to new heights. I could not be more excited to have Glen enter this leadership race and give him my full support."

"I am re-inspired by Glen Murray's entrance into the Green Party leadership contest. Greens choose leaders who are earnest and wise and who are the best people for the upcoming step for our party and for the vital role the GPC plays in the global Green political movement. I wholly believe Glen is the best person to be our next leader and Canada's next prime minister. His comprehensive political experience at the municipal level as the respected mayor of a capital city and at the provincial level as a responsible cabinet minister in multiple portfolios makes him ready to govern. Glen was already a Green in government and, like many other past party leaders and members, ultimately chose to end up with the party that truly represents his values and hopes for others."

"As a college business professor, former entrepreneur, and candidate myself in 2019, I am impressed by Glen Murray’s track record of getting seemingly impossible things done.  I am excited about his combination of bold vision and sensible plans to lead the Green Party to the next level as a political force in this country.  I believe only Glen has the skills and experience of working in all levels of government, and collaborating across party lines, to move Green initiatives forward.  That’s why I am supporting Glen, and encourage you do so, too."

"I have spent my summer working for Glen’s campaign because I am convinced that he is the right leader at the right time for Canada’s green movement. The three major federal parties have consistently failed Canadians in environmental protection and social justice. Glen brings the political experience, vision and charisma that make him the sole candidate in the race capable of leading the Greens to a substantial seat increase in Ottawa. Moreover, Glen's history as a consensus-builder and a dedicated advocate will help ensure that Canada’s COVID-19 recovery is reflective of the values of the Green Party. Ultimately, I believe that Glen Murray is our best chance at securing the urgent environmental and social protections that all Canadians deserve."

"I'm excited about Glen Murray becoming the next leader of the Green Party of Canada. Above all I think that we need more Greens elected. Glen is the only candidate who has a track record of electoral success. His wins will bring a new level of credibility to the party and open the doors for more people to vote for Greens across the country. By electing more MPs it will advance the kinds of policies and legislation that we all want to see for our democracy, our country and our planet. As President of the Green Party of Ontario for 4 years, I worked hard to increase the capacity of the party and help lay a foundation that led to the election of Mike Schreiner in 2018 in Guelph. I believe that with Glen Murray as leader of the Green Party of Canada we will see more electoral wins across the country."

"As a former Guelph city councilor, I listened to Glen Murray's eloquent voice on many occasions, and used his greater knowledge on climate change to inform many of my decisions at the local level.  His commitment to real environmental sustainability, together with his extensive experience at both the municipal and provincial levels of government, make him the ideal candidate for the leadership of the Green Party of Canada, given the existential climate threat to our planet that looms ever closer, and the need for his strong voice on climate change action now."

"Glen Murray is an excellent and experienced choice for Leader of the Green Party of Canada. Glen has is unwavering in applying his passion and drive towards creating a more sustainable society, one that protects both people and the natural ecological fabric of our land. As Winnipeg’s mayor and minister in the Ontario government, he demonstrated a natural aptitude for devising and deploying innovative public policies. We need his practical knowledge to help lead Canada toward a workable and newly structured green economy. Glen is an inclusive leader. He has the skills and personality to create a strong, relevant and cohesive national Green Party. He can effectively position the Green Party on the national political stage. I am the former Environmental Commissioner of Ontario and twice a national Green Party candidate. For these reasons and more, I strongly endorse Glen Murray's candidacy for Leader. Please join me and offer him your support."

"Glen Murray is the best candidate to work alongside Elizabeth May, Paul Manly, and Jenica Atwin. As an Indigenous woman specializing in Aboriginal law in the legal profession, I know that Glen’s career is grounded in partnerships with Indigenous peoples. With his track record on the environment and his history of winning, Glen should lead the party."

"I was so excited when Glen Murray announced that he wanted to run to be the next leader of the Green Party of Canada. Someone who has been the Mayor of Winnipeg and the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change for my home Province of Ontario has proven that he knows how to run a campaign and get elected."

"As a young person, it can be frustrating watching something as crucial as the health of our earth being politicized. Glen's campaign, based on his accomplishments and experience, represents an opportunity for actual environmental progress to take on Canadian politics. Additionally, as a young gay man, it's incredibly empowering to see someone who stood up for LGBTQ+ rights before it was a popular issue continuing to fight for justice and equality."

"Glen's accomplishments developing the amazing Cap and Trade program which the Conservatives in Ontario cancelled and his understanding of how to be an effective politician impresses me.

I also liked the way he canvassed his constituents in Toronto for their opinions and concerns while he was an MPP.  He will be a strong voice for the Green Party, like Elizabeth is in public media and hopefully in the House of Commons."

"Glen has had tremendous impact on my life as a great friend and mentor. His passion and approach to working on critical issues that matter to Canadians have left a lasting impact on me. Being a first-generation Canadian, Glen also provided me the rare opportunity to work on many important initiatives, including Ontario’s efforts to tackle Climate Change. As a Human Rights Champion, he also initiated the first memorial in Canadian history for the victims of Tamil Genocide from Black July 1983 to Mu'l'livaikkaal 2009."

"First, this is an endorsement of my own and does not represent the views of the Ottawa South GPO CA members.

As well, we have many great candidates who want to fight for a better Canada. Regardless of the results and whoever becomes leader of the GPC, Glen included, they will all make amazing MPs for the party.

    Now here’s my endorsement.

We need to move forward as a party and as a country, together. We need more people thinking about us as a serious party. Most importantly, we need to win seats to enact our vision across Canada.

Glen sees our great policies to improve the country now and for future generations and wants to use his experience as an impactful politician, winning many past elections of his own, to lead the Green Party of Canada to a better election result so we can have a real effective government in Canada.

As a member of the LGBT+ community and as someone with experience living in many major multicultural cities across Canada, Glen understands the importance of addressing diversity and inclusion within our party and across our great country too.

He also knows how to pass effective legislation in his time as a mayor of Winnipeg and as an Ontario MPP, working collaboratively with others well.

This is why I’m endorsing Glen Murray as your next leader of the Green Party of Canada."
